Haunted by a summer of tragedy wrought by sick and murderous individuals with firearms; frustrated by the failure of the political system to respond, Zwier decided that when Representative Kaohly Vang Her won her campaign to become Mayor of St. Paul, Zwier would run in the special election to make sure District 64A has a strong voice to advance the cause of community safety through common sense firearm legislation.
In electing Representative Her, this district honored a strong tradition of supporting leaders who champion justice, healthy and safe communities, and collaborative problem solving. Zwier's goal is to build on that legacy; bringing the community together to lift up and care for all of its members.
