Right now, too many politicians are more focused on controlling classrooms than supporting them. Folks who have never spent a single day teaching are out here writing laws about schools while ripping money away from public education and expecting us to do more with less. And let me tell you, teachers feel it. Families feel it. Our kids feel it.

And the truth is, my real work is trying my best to help a fourth grader reading on a kindergarten level make real progress, not whatever headline-grabbing nonsense they claim we are teaching. They make up lies about what happens in our classrooms while ignoring what actually matters. And this is not just a teacher problem. It is the reality for all of us. Politicians who are out of touch, answering to the highest bidder, and completely disconnected from the communities they are supposed to serve.

Every day, I walk into a classroom with 30 students, all with different backgrounds, strengths, and challenges. There is no one-size-fits-all approach in teaching, and there should not be one in our policies either.

I am running for State House because our district deserves a representative who understands real life in our community. We need to tackle affordability in a way that lasts, invest in public schools, strengthen Classroom to Career pathways, and invest in the future of Texas from securing our water to rebuilding our infrastructure because families deserve reliability, not surprises.

That is what I am fighting for! I am tired of politicians making a mess and expecting the rest of us, teachers, parents, and working families, to clean it up. It is time for someone who actually knows what it means to show up for a community.
