A PERSONAL NOTE FROM JOSÉ
Four years ago, we started this journey together to build a criminal justice system that delivers safety for everyone.
Since then, we've made survivors a partner in new accountability strategies, instituted a multi-faceted gun violence prevention plan, and cleared the records of over a thousand residents who had been arrested, but never convicted, allowing them to freely pursue jobs and housing. While recognizing an incarceration-only approach promotes neither safety nor justice, we've taken a hard line against violent actors and prosecuted over 90% of all firearm related offenses.
So I invite you to join our campaign and be part of this movement because we’ve seen the good we do when we listen to people, partner with the community, and defend the right of everyone to safety and justice.
