After serving my country in the military, including combat and as an intelligence professional, I came home and eventually ran for mayor in my hometown. No one gave me much of a chance. I spent almost nothing on the campaign. I didn’t take a single dollar from anyone. I just showed up, told the truth, and trusted the people to see it.
They did.
Between serving my country and serving my community, I studied political science at Missouri State University. Not straight out of high school, but after I’d seen the world and understood how it really works. That education taught me how government should function. My time in office taught me how it often doesn’t.
Now I’m running for State House Representative in District 142.
