Newberry is the best small town around! We raised our four children here while owning six businesses over nearly 50 years. Newberry has supported us through challenges and victories. There’s no other place on earth I’d rather be and now I am running to serve as its Mayor to ensure the positive trajectory we are on continues in a healthy way to benefit our citizens.

My first priority and focus is on road improvement. We’ve waited long enough for relief and I plan to get it. I also have an open-door policy. My phone will be answered and emails will be returned. I will also advocate to pass a referendum for term limits. Our elected officials should serve no longer than 8 years which allows fresh perspectives and encourages political accountability.

Public service has been second nature to me throughout my life. Currently I serve on the Children’s Trust Opioid Task Force, mentor in the Take Stock in Children program, board member of SiaTech Charter School, and serve on the Public Policy committee for the Board of Realtors. My past service includes Newberry City Commissioner, Newberry Chamber of Commerce co-founder and past president, and Newberry Mainstreet Organization past president.

Newberry’s recent growth is historic and I want to see it continue by making sure the comprehensive plan is followed and our infrastructure will accommodate it.
