Support J Street's Grassroots Partners

J Street values long-term, grassroots organizing and its role in turning out voters and helping transform elections. This cycle, we’re pleased to announce that J Street members can support centralized organizing efforts through our partners in several battleground states for the 2024 election cycle.

Somos Votantes Education Fund:

Somos Votantes is a Latino-led and Latino-focused organization aimed at engaging Latino voters to increase voter participation and improve Democratic performance in Latino communities in order to win elections. Somos Votantes Education Fund (SVEF) is a non-partisan civic engagement organization dedicated to empowering and educating Latino communities with the knowledge, tools, and opportunities they need to participate in our democracy and create meaningful change in their communities. SVEF also partners with Somos Votantes, a 501(c)(4) organization with the purpose of promoting the social welfare of Latino communities.

Michigan United:

The vision of the Michigan People’s Campaign is to ignite the power of our communities and

shift the balance of power; cultivate the leadership of those directly affected by injustice; and

build popular institutions for the future. It is a multi-racial organization, which works year-round

to make sure that communities that have been left out of the political process, especially

working-class communities and communities of color, are fully engaged and have good reasons to vote. The organization also trains the next generation of candidates and campaign managers from communities that are most impacted by injustice.

Carolina Federation Fund:

The Carolina Federation works to bring people together across differences to build a new political majority in North Carolina - one rooted in a culture of belonging and strong enough to win elections and wield governing power in our state. They seek to combine the best of Southern Freedom traditions: deep base-building in our counties and neighborhoods, transformative leadership development, power-building issue campaigns, and large-scale voter organizing. They fight for a democracy for all, an economy for all, and for a culture of belonging for all North Carolinians.

Make the Road Action PA:

Make the Road Action PA builds power for justice in Latinx communities, communities of color and working class communities, with organizing centers located in Allentown, Reading and Philadelphia.

Ohio Organizing Collaborative:

Ohio Organizing Collaborative (OOC) is a grassroots organization that brings together base-building community organizing groups, student associations, faith organizations, labor unions, and policy institutes throughout Ohio. It is their mission to organize everyday Ohioans, and build transformative power for racial, social, and economic justice.

Voces de la Frontera Action, Wisconsin:

Voces de la Frontera Action has been helping register young people and Latinx people to vote since the 2004 election, alongside their sister organization Voces de la Frontera. It is a membership-based community organization led by low-wage workers, immigrants and youth whose mission is to protect and expand civil rights and workers’ rights through leadership development, community organizing and empowerment.

Missouri Wins Investor Network (Missouri WIN, or MOWIN)

MOWINs invests in organizations and leaders that drive a research-driven, multi-year strategy to transform Missouri politics. MOWIN invests in infrastructure to build a multiracial governing majority that will endure election after election. Through these investments, MOWIN hopes to transform the conditions candidates face come election time and how elected leaders can govern.
