Support J Street's Grassroots Partners
Long-term grassroots organizing is key to building political power and ensuring our democracy reflects the voices of all Americans. As such, we’re proud to announce that J Street members can now directly support organizing efforts in Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, and New Mexico through our grassroots partners for the 2026 cycle. To maximize our impact, we’re partnering with both statewide organizing hubs and select local organizations doing strategic civic engagement work.
Make the Road PA
Make the Road Action PA builds power in Latinx, working-class and communities of color across Pennsylvania, with organizing hubs in Allentown, Reading, Philadelphia and Hazleton.
In 2024, they ran one of the largest field programs in the battleground state, knocking on over 53,000 doors, registering 12,300 new voters and sending more than 2 million GOTV texts and videos. Leading up to 2026, they plan to organize for critical local races—from district attorney to school board—while working to flip key congressional seats crucial to taking back the House majority.
Fair Fight Action
Fair Fight Action promotes fair elections in Georgia and around the country, encouraging voter participation in elections and educating voters about elections and their voting rights. Fair Fight Action brings awareness to the public on election reform, advocates for election reform and engages in targeted voter outreach programs and communications.
Michigan United
The Michigan People’s Campaign aims to ignite the power of communities and shift the balance of power, cultivate the leadership of those directly affected by injustice and build popular institutions for the future. It’s a multi-racial organization that works year-round to make sure that communities that have been left out of the political process, especially working-class communities and communities of color, are fully engaged and have motivation to vote. The organization also trains the next generation of candidates and campaign managers from communities that are most impacted by injustice.
Every year, volunteers and fellows canvass tens of thousands of residents who are the least likely to vote. They work to educate and organize community members about the important issues in play in the election, encourage citizens to vote and register new voters. Michigan United regularly runs the largest Spanish-speaking get-out-the-vote program in the state.
Michigan United also has a legal services department that provides immigration counsel including citizenship classes, English language classes, and renewals and petitions for documentation.
Carolina Federation
The Carolina Federation works to bring people together to build a new political majority in North Carolina rooted in a culture of belonging and strong enough to win key elections and wield governing power. They seek to combine the best of southern tradition: deep base-building in our counties and neighborhoods, transformative leadership development, power-building issue campaigns, and large-scale voter organizing. They fight for a democracy for all, an economy for all and for a culture of belonging for all North Carolinians.
Their core programming operates in four areas: 1) base building and chapter member work, 2) training and leadership development, 3) movement politics organizing alongside candidates, and 4) large scale field organizing to reach voters.
Semilla Action
Semilla Action empowers and activates BIPOC, immigrant, LGBTQ+, worker, youth, and women voters in New Mexico to advance and achieve equity, justice and wellbeing for families and communities.
In 2024, Semilla Action engaged communities statewide through deep canvassing, phone banking, paid media, and grassroots events—supporting progressive candidates, increasing voter participation, and amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities across the Land of Enchantment.
