SUPPORT J STREET'S GRASSROOTS PARTNERS: MICHIGAN UNITED ACTION

Michigan United Action is a statewide, multiracial organization with membership in Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo. Committed to economic and racial justice, they use the tools of community organizing and civic engagement to advocate for change and ensure government reflects the needs of all people, not just the wealthy and powerful. Their work is rooted in elevating local voices and leaders to challenge systemic injustices and build a more inclusive democracy.

Elections are one of their most powerful tools, and Michigan United Action works year-round to empower working-class communities and people of color to exercise their right to vote. They also invest in developing new leaders and campaign strategists from communities most affected by injustice, cultivating meaningful engagement and shaping a political landscape that is more representative, equitable, and accountable.
