Ohio Organizing Collaborative (OOC) is a grassroots organization that brings together base-building community organizing groups, student associations, faith organizations, labor unions, and policy institutes throughout Ohio. It is their mission to organize everyday Ohioans, and build transformative power for racial, social, and economic justice.
At the local and state levels, the OOC’s priorities are centered around economic justice, criminal
justice, and structural democracy reform through the expansion of voting rights. The OOC uses grassroots organizing and powerbuilding, large-scale civic engagement, and strategic communications to affect change.
Since 2012 the OOC has registered over 420,000 Ohioans to vote for the first time. In the runup to the 2022 midterms, they registered more than 45,700 Black and young voters in Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati – more than any other organization in the state.
