As a Ward 1 resident for nearly 25 years and the former Director of Community Relations for the City of Springfield (2015–2023), Juan has spent his career connecting residents to essential services, coordinating key community programs, and serving as a vital link between the public and city government.

Juan is running for Ward 1 Alderman to bring people together, find meaningful solutions, and move Springfield forward. His campaign is built on six key priorities: Communication, Respect, Collaboration, Trust, Compassion, and Community Development.
