Re-elect Judy Newman

Thank you so much for continuing to support me as a member of the Eugene School District Board of Directors.

I am running for re-election because I am committed to the hard work needed to help our schools and community to continue and expand the great work we are doing to ensure equity in all aspects of our district including:

• providing services for our most vulnerable students and families,
• supporting early learners and all students reading by 3rd grade, 
• providing a well rounded education for all students,
• including children with disabilities in all aspect of school,
• improving graduation rates, and
• ensuring all students are safe and secure and belong.

New federal guidance is threatening our ability to provide a high quality and well rounded free public education to all students in a safe and welcoming environment. I am deeply committed to ensuring that we maintain the ability to do so – because I know that this is the foundation upon which our democracy is built. I hope you will consider helping my campaign so I can be in a position to stand up and ensure that all students in our district receive a high quality public education and that they feel safe and welcomed in our schools. 

There are many good things happening in the District such as: new buildings, free meals to students and families; evidence based reading instruction, affinity groups and more opportunities for incorporating student and community voice, increased social emotional and mental health resources in schools, and much more.  I want to share these with voters. You can help me meet this goal. Your continuing support and input are vital to my campaign.
