Step up and fight to win!

Dear Friends-

I didn’t become political until I was 50 years old when I managed the phone bank here in Center City for President Obama. Ever since then I’ve been off and running! Then I found the Working Family Party. They shared my ideas, my hopes, and dreams for the future - not only for myself and this great country, but for my grandson and his friends.

After working on their pilot program, as Wolfpack captain, I committed myself to knocking on doors and talking to the voters. I came to realize how effective it was and I saw how it made a big difference and then I felt like there’s gotta be more I can do! What can I really do to make a difference?

The answer came from the Working Family Partys' partner, Seed The Vote, an amazing grassroots organization, who connects the community and makes a difference with one to one conversations at the doors! This summer they won 5 of 5 primary candidates they were fighting for, now they are going to do it again this Fall for the general election, Nov. 3rd., and Flip the House and the Senate ! 

STV raises money to support volunteers who go around the country and knock on doors for candidates who represent my values and can win the critical races. This money goes towards hotels and transportation for door knockers who have the passion but maybe not the funds. They train us and organize us to win and take back our government. 

So now I am reaching out to you - my friends and family - and ask you to pitch in to enable Seed The Vote to sponsor folks to go to swing cities and knock on doors, talk to the community. I’m very committed to this ! Until we get a new president and then I’ll go back to retirement..... so please I really don’t like to ask anybody for anything, but I am going to do it anyway.

If you’re interested in working side-by-side with me through this adventure, please let me know because I am going to build a STV POD with a few people to go to Ben Salem for a few days and knock on doors. Will you come with me?

It feels really good to do something in these times that we’re going through and is also amazingly good when we win because when we fight real hard, we win! So step up to the plate and let me know if this is something you would love to do with me.
