Julie Blaha is a Democrat running for Minnesota State Auditor.
A native Minnesotan, Julie is a former middle school math teacher who now serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the MN AFL-CIO. Throughout her career, Julie has seen that when neighbors get a real voice in local government, they attract the kinds of businesses that allow people to work close to home and have more time with family.
As auditor, Julie's top priority will be to facilitate the easy exchange of honest information. She will use the auditor's office to equip local leaders with clear, accurate data that leads to good decisions and real results. As of July 1, 2017, the state of Minnesota will refund contributions of up to $50 from individuals and $100 from married couples as part of the Political Contribution Refund (PCR) program. This program helps ensure all Minnesotans are able to contribute to the candidate of their choosing, making for stronger grassroots, people-powered elections.The program is only available to MN residents and may be used once per calendar year per resident.
Individuals may contribute up to $2,000 per election cycle. No corporate contributions allowed.
