Juneteenth Celebration & Candidate Support
Join Initiate Justice Action for our third annual Juneteenth Celebration & Fundraiser on Friday, June 19th from 7:00-9:00pm on the rooftop at our office in DTLA!
This year, our theme is “Election Reflection: Where Do We Go From Here?” where we will reflect on the June 2nd Primary Election and have a community conversation on how we can continue to build power.
This is a family-friendly event - we will have food, fun, and activities for kids! Our main program will include a panel discussion featuring some of the candidates we endorsed this election cycle:
- Fatima Iqbal-Zubair - Candidate for Assembly District 65
- Marissa Roy - Candidate for LA City Attorney
- Eunisses Hernandez - LA City Council Member District 1
- Faizah Malik - Candidate for LA City Council District 11
Our Juneteenth celebration is also a fundraiser to support our work to civically engage people impacted by incarceration. Tickets start at $25 ($15 for IJ Action Members - kids are free!) and there will be other opportunities to support our work. Get your tickets today!
