This year marks 100 years since racist white mobs, deputized by government officials, burned and looted Greenwood, Tulsa, Oklahoma’s Black Wall Street. To this day, no one has ever been charged with a crime, nor has there been any compensation for the economic devastation of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre—not even from insurance companies!
Color Of Change partnered with the Justice for Greenwood Foundation, the network composed of the survivors and descendants of the Tulsa Race Massacre, their attorneys, experts, and advocates, all fighting for reparations and justice for Greenwood. Together, we’ve been pressuring Tulsa’s city leaders to split the funds raised for the centennial of the massacre with the people whose livelihoods were ruined by it. And today, we’re starting our own fund to directly benefit the survivors and descendants. We need your help to make the greatest impact on their lives.
Your donation will also be used for:
While we continue to advocate for justice from the Tulsa government, help us pool resources to benefit the survivors and descendants right now.
