Kannan Srinivasan serves as a Member of Virginia House of Delegates representing House District 26.



Kannan Srinivasan is the first Indian American immigrant to serve in the Virginia House of Delegates. A finance and business leader, he served as Chair of the Virginia State Medicaid Board, helping expand healthcare access to millions of Virginians. 


Kannan is a grassroots volunteer, community leader and a long-time Democratic activist in Loudoun.


Kannan represents Loudoun in the House District 26 as a sincere advocate bringing his business expertise & experience to:

Kannan Srinivasan is the first Indian American immigrant to serve in the Virginia House of Delegates. A finance and business leader, he served as Chair of the Virginia State Medicaid Board, helping expand healthcare access to millions of Virginians. 


Kannan is a Senior Finance and Analytics professional with more than 30 years of experience in building and growing successful companies. Both his parents were school teachers who instilled a very strong sense of public service.In 2019, Kannan ran for County-wide Treasurer office.


Kannan served as Chair of Virginia Medicaid Board - appointed by Governor McAuliffe and Governor Northam. Kannan is also in the Board of GW Heart & Vascular Institute and Loudoun Free Clinic. He served as a Commissioner in Loudoun Economic Development Advisory Commission and a board member of Democratic Business Council.


Kannan served as Treasurer of Loudoun County Democratic Committee for 6 years (3 terms), Secretary of Democratic Asian Americans of Virginia and is an elected member of 10th CD Democratic Committee (2nd term).


Kannan is an alumnus of The Sorensen Institute of Political Leadership at UVA.


Kannan is endorsed by US Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, US Representatives Jennifer Wexton, Abigail Spanberger, Den Beyer and Gerry Connolly, Loudoun County Chair Phyllis Randall and several elected officials in VA.
