I am proud to serve as your San José Evergreen Community College District Trustee for Area 2. I ask for your vote to continue building a district where accountability, opportunity, and student success come first.

As a mother and wife in a blended family of seven, married for 28 years, I understand the power of education and opportunity. My family includes union trade workers, an educator, and my youngest, preparing to become an attorney. This guides my decisions: never give up, invest in people, be part of the solution.

I have championed middle school college access, K through 12 and nonprofit partnerships, transfer pathways, workforce education and apprenticeships, and college opportunities for students in local correctional facilities. I supported the Milpitas College expansion, Career Education Complex, nursing and automotive programs, and high tech partnerships connecting students to Silicon Valley careers.

As Chair of the Budget, Finance and Audit Committee, I have fought for transparency, balanced budgets, responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars, a strong district credit rating, and on time union agreement ratification. I helped advance a permanent Chancellor and executive team focused on accountability.

My work is not finished. My record reflects results through policymaking, asking tough questions, stewardship, and student focused decisions. I will continue moving our district forward, never backward, for generations to come.
