Contribution rules
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
Political contributions are not tax-deductible for federal or state purposes as
charitable contributions. The City of Imperial Beach limits contributions to
$250 per contributor, per election, to the same candidate or candidate-
controlled committee. Foreign nationals are not permitted to contribute to
political campaigns. It is unlawful for a contributor to make a contribution in
another person’s or entity’s name, or to be reimbursed without disclosing the
true source of the contribution. All contributions are publicly disclosed once
a donor’s total contributions reach $100 or more in aggregate.
