Home & politics are not always ideas that go together. But that's just what Oakland Rising is - a political home for all of us who believe that we can create a community that is compassionate, inclusive and just. And Oakland Rising is a place for smart political strategy and power building to maintain Oakland as a home for the people who are the heart and soul of The Town - working class folks, people of color, and immigrants.
