As District Attorney, Melinda’s priority has been keeping Queens families safe. She’s worked to get guns off the street, to hold human traffickers and domestic abusers accountable, and she’s used a smart-but-tough-on-crime approach to dispensing justice for Queens residents.


Throughout her career in service to the people of New York, Melinda Katz has always brought a different, community-centered approach to government. As a State Assembly Member, City Council Member, Borough President, and now as District Attorney, she’s responded to the needs of our communities.
