Contribution rules
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- I am not a federal contractor.
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
An individual may contribute up to $10,500 and a multicandidate committee (“PAC”) may contribute up to $15,000 to Talarico for Texas. The first $3,500 of a person’s contribution and the first $5,000 of a PAC’s contribution will be designated for the primary election, the next $3,500/$5,000 will be designated for the primary runoff election, should it occur, and the next $3,500/$5,000 will be designated for the general election. Contributions from corporations, foreign nationals and federal government contractors are prohibited. Persons are prohibited from making contributions in the name of another person.
Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of the employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in an election cycle. Contributions and gifts to Talarico for Texas are not tax-deductible. Talarico for Texas does not accept corporate PAC contributions.
