Let's get in to office!
My name is Kiana "Kuulei" Kanahele (Keawekane), and I thank you deeply for your consideration to contribute to my campaign! While many political candidates are financially sponsored by corporate organizations, my campaign operates primarily through community funding through personal contributions from good people who believe in the power of good governance. I believe that representatives should be well known by the communities they represent; they should regularly attend monthly community meetings and be deeply attentive and involved in addressing the holistic needs of their constituents, beyond the political capacity of the office seat. Although the legislative session is just 4 months long, I've dedicated my campaign and will continue to dedicate my term to teaching (those who are interested) about the role that civic engagement, political power, and the collective vote plays in community wellness.
Funds raised through this platform will be used for signs, marketing materials, and provisions for community gatherings.
Contribution rules
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
- I am not currently entered into any contract with the State of Hawaii, any of its counties, or any of their departments or agencies.
- I am not a lobbyist.
