Jacob Martinez is a lifelong Mesa resident and U.S. Navy Reserve member running as a Democrat for the Arizona House of Representatives in Legislative District 9. A graduate of Mesa Public Schools and Arizona State University, Martinez is currently a law student at the ASU Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He has built a reputation as a community-focused leader through his work as a small business owner and his advocacy for educational equity. Endorsed by incumbent Representative Seth Blattman to succeed him, Martinez brings a unique blend of military service and legal training to the race, positioning himself as a candidate who understands both the local needs of West Mesa and the complexities of state policy.
