Armando Montero is a proud product of our public schools and longtime community advocate, running for the Arizona State House of Representatives to bring a fresh perspective to the State Capitol. A graduate of ASU, Armando earned bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics, Economics, and Political Science and is now pursuing his J.D. at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. In 2020, he made history as the youngest person ever elected to the Tempe Union High School District Governing Board at 19 years-old. On the board, Armando has made historic efforts to expand access to mental health care for students and families. Inspired by the consistent cuts to education funding causing schools to shut down, he is now running for the Arizona State House to bring a younger, experienced voice to the Legislature.
