My name is Keith Linhares. I am not a socialite, an insider, or a politician.
I am a hardworking, minivan-driving dad to 3 young daughters and a supportive husband and partner to a youth and community worker who has spent many years making a difference in Worcester.
We CHOSE to make our home and raise our daughters in Worcester.
Growing up, my parents rented until they achieved the dream of homeownership when I was eight. I still remember the pride we felt moving into our own home—a pride I experienced again when my family bought our first house in District 1 a decade ago.
My working-class parents taught me to be tough, resilient, and determined. I'm committed to using all the advantages I've gained to help our community.
Worcester is my family’s future.
My Vision for Worcester
I envision a city where anyone who loves Worcester like I do, and wants to be here, can afford to raise their family in a place they feel at home.
A city where people aren’t stuck in places they’ve outgrown or can’t afford, and aren’t forced to leave.
A city filled with bustling neighborhoods that have easy and safe access to excellent schools, parks, and thriving small businesses, where daily needs like fresh, local food and a sense of community are readily available.
A city where people connect beyond their own circles and look out for each other. A city where everyone feels at home.
I want my kids - and yours - to be as proud of Worcester as I am, to feel like they have a future here and don't have to leave to find better opportunities.
Please join me in challenging Worcester to be better!
