Four years ago, your support and your vote elected a high school teacher as a Los Rios Community College District trustee against better-known and better-funded opponents. You believed in me and my commitment to students and to public education. I hope I’ve made you proud–and that you’ll support me once again in my re-election campaign.

As a trustee representing Elk Grove, Valley HI, Clarksburg, West Sacramento and Davis, I made it my unrelenting focus to get young adults back on campus in both our transfer education and career certificate programs.

And, we've succeeded! Our district–with the hard work of our faculty and staff–has restored enrollment to pre-pandemic levels. And we’re one of the first community college districts in California to do so!

That’s not enough, though. As a high school teacher, I still see too many students who don’t have a plan for after graduation. We need our Los Rios colleges to welcome every young adult in the region into our degree or certificate programs. And we need to commit to do that even though our state budget is shrinking.
