Dear Friends –
A few weeks ago I launched my campaign to Chair the Democratic National Committee. Let me tell you why.
I believe Democrats can win again in every place, every election, and at every level of government—from school boards to the White House. I believe that because I've built a state party in Minnesota that has won over and over in America’s heartland, including every statewide election during my nearly 14-year tenure.
The DNC needs to hit the pavement, get out of DC for a bit, and go to the states—to listen, reconnect with the voters, and restore a strong and resilient party. My motto is build to win, build to expand, build to last. That’s what I’ve already done in Minnesota, and it’s what I plan to do at the DNC given the opportunity.
I’m so gracious for all the support I’ve received from my friends and family, as well as the groundswell of momentum we’ve already secured from over 90 DNC members. I’ll be working to earn every vote between now and the party elections—just like we will work to earn every vote at the ballot box during the years to come.
Thank you,
Ken Martin
