New Leadership for Virginia's 6th District
Ken Mitchell is a resident of Rockingham County. He served twenty-four years in the military, including six years at the White House under both a Republican and a Democratic administration. He worked for large telecom corporations before starting a historic remodeling and preservation company. His experience in historic remodeling and preservation led to another opportunity with a nonprofit, The Thomas Jefferson Foundation, where he helped to plan and oversee infrastructure renovations. His last position was vice president of a civil engineering firm, where he helped design and upgrade local water systems in Woodstock, Elkton, Augusta County, and Roanoke.
Ken's military and work experiences have prepared him to bring principled leadership and pragmatic problem-solving to Congress. He will fight for Main Street over Wall Street with public investment in rural infrastructure, expansion of health care services, and tax policies that ensure large corporations pay their fair share. No one will be left behind.
