Democrat Ken Magee, born and raised right here in Ann Arbor, is a highly decorated law enforcement officer running for Washtenaw County Sheriff. Over the course of his 30+ year long career in law enforcement, Ken has seen it all. Between his time in Bogota, Colombia hunting down Pablo Escobar, and his time as an undercover agent which led to the largest drug seizure in the history of Michigan, Ken has accumulated plenty of stories but more importantly, experience. Ken looks to lead Washtenaw County into a new era of policing, focusing on the rehabilitation of individuals with substance use disorders via the implementation of his P.E.T.E.R program, deploying equitable policing (a.k.a “thinking outside the badge”), prioritizing our endangered youth and expanding services to support them, amongst various other modern policies.
