For over 25 years Kent has worked tirelessly as a prosecutor and advocate to keep our community safe, fight corruption and misconduct, and help those who are struggling get the support and treatment they need. He has been making real change happen for the people of Milwaukee County.
As a prosecutor Kent has taken on violent crime and made our streets safer. As Chief Deputy District Attorney since 2008, Kent has managed 125 attorneys and 150 support staff in the District Attorney's Office. Kent has worked with law enforcement to be tough on crime and take violent offenders off the street. At the same time, he has also held accountable police officers who violate the law. He has brought together community members to address the complexities of domestic violence and mental health. Kent has been at the heart of tackling many of Milwaukee County's most difficult challenges, earning the trust of law enforcement, community leaders and advocates for reform by being fair and straightforward.
