Together, we are building a better Bloomington!

Bloomington Mayor Kerry Thomson is working every day to build a better Bloomington for everyone.
Since becoming Mayor in January of 2024, Kerry has focused on tackling the city's housing crisis, addressing homelessness in the community, and has worked to create a more inclusive, accessible, and responsive city government.
A graduate of Randolph Macon Women’s College, Kerry is married to an IU physics professor and has four children. Before serving as Mayor, she was the Executive Director of Indiana University's Center for Rural Engagement and CEO of Habitat for Humanity in Monroe County.
Please support Kerry in building an even better Bloomington!
