Kerry moved to Bloomington in 1997 and began a 20-year career with Habitat for Humanity. Rising to the position of CEO, she led the organization to unprecedented growth and success, focusing on building relationships and community that span the boundaries of race, culture, and income.
In 2018, she became the Executive Director of Indiana University's Center for Rural Engagement, where she leads efforts to create results-driven initiatives that improve the quality of life and economic vitality of rural communities.
Active in the Bloomington community for years, Kerry has served on the boards at the IU Credit Union, Indiana Habitat for Humanity, Habitat for Humanity International’s US Council, and Tithe Advisory Board.
