Over the last six years, I have been honored to serve as State Representative for the 18th House District. With the November election behind us, I am excited to let you know I am your state Senator in District 12. This includes all five of the Grosse Pointe communities, St. Clair Shores, Harper Woods, Harrison Township, Mt. Clemens, New Baltimore, Chesterfield Township, Clinton Township, Ira Township and Clay Township including Harsens Island.

I know this district well because I grew up here, Ann and I are raising our family here now, and have been proud to represent the interests of these communities these last six years. This is more than lines on a map to me - it is my family's home.

I know the residents of our district are not interested in divisiveness and political games. We want positive action, not negative rhetoric. We want to move forward, not backward. We want to save the things that are working, and change the things that aren't. Because we are better together.

I look forward to working with you to build a better Michigan with world class education for our children, sustainable infrastructure and an economy that creates opportunities for all.
