Democracy Win

Democracy Win Kickoff

We are proud to announce the exciting launch of Democracy Win and the National Kick-Off on June 11, 2014 in Columbus Ohio (location coming soon!).

Democracy Win will launch in the key battleground state of Ohio where we will register 40,000 Minority voters from our targeted group of Women, Hispanics, African American and Young people before the November 2014 General Election. These new voters represent 22.18% of the average Margin of Victory of the last three presidential elections in the State of Ohio, creating a real, lasting impact!

Democracy Win and Democracy Win Education Fund are 501c3 and 501c4 non-profit and advocacy organizations created to address the significant and growing epidemic where active legislation and public policy efforts disenfranchise minorities, young people and women.

The results are disturbing: nearly 52% of Americans are women yet they only make up 18 % of Congress. Hispanics make up 27 % of the population yet only 8 % of the electorate. Young people between the ages of 18 - 24 remain the poorest performing voting demographic in the entire nation.

Democracy Win’s founding principle starts with the commitment to change our view in politics from a zero-sum game where there is an inevitable system of winners and losers to a "You win, I win" progressive vision. Therefore, our mission and commitment is "To create a pervasive You win I win culture in politics that empowers disenfranchised populations through civic engagement and democracy."

This means that we can only succeed when we invest in others success. Democracy win is focused on making that investment in the populations and people whose voices have been quieted or are being ignored by the elected officials whose job it is to be a stand for them.
