I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing you today about my obligation to represent the residents who live within the 45th Legislative District as a State delegate in the Maryland General Assembly.
On November 4, 2014, we were successful in receiving over 17,000 votes and securing one of the House of Delegates seats in the 45th Legislative District. This happened because we worked as a team to communicate our message effectively to the voters. This was a great victory that will never be forgotten, but now the real work begins.
Our plan has always been to run a robust organizing effort to engage more citizens into voting process over the next four years. This can be accomplished by continuing the conversations at the doors, solving problems at the door, and communicating effectively with voters throughout the 45th Legislative District.
This will be accomplished by hiring youth throughout the year, maintaining a content management system, development and printing of literature, social media graphics, and etc. A real organizing effort, and a real plan to increase the voter turnout in future elections.
