Even before the pandemic, the volunteers on our School Committee were tasked with making tough decisions for the benefit of our students and community. And during these trying times, they have worked tirelessly to keep our schools open and our students and staff healthy and engaged.
We elected Mike and Diane to the School Committee because they listen to all voices in our community--not just the loudest ones. We trust them to make difficult decisions. As educators, they understand the needs of students and the importance of education. And they have a track record of crafting policies that reflect the diverse views of Belchertown.
Those pushing for this recall are pushing their own agenda and do not represent the views of Belchertown's majority. We hope you'll join us in sending a clear message that we support Diane and Mike. Our elected officials should be able to make decisions based on their best judgment, without fear of being recalled over a decision opposed by a minority of townspeople. Bullying tactics have no place in Belchertown and only serve to create instability in our town government..
Contributions of $100 or more are especially helpful, but every amount will be effective.
Out-of-state dark money is coming into School Committee elections in neighboring states, from those who would politicize public health.
