We are a team of artists-as-teachers that facilitates brave spaces for kids to create, dream, and imagine radically.
KidsArts was started as an independent, grassroots arts organization in 1986 by Jamaica Plain artists and active community members. The goal was to provide a setting for children to receive much-needed exposure to visual and performing art instruction. KidsArts was incorporated in 1995 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization to continue, true to its roots, as a community-based afterschool arts program.
KidsArts is forever adapting to the interests of kids. We develop workshops to keep up with the many forms of art mediums including traditional and nontraditional like found objects and digital technology. In order to continue providing expressive arts programming for kids and families, supporting our team of artists as teachers, and adapting to the ever-evolving world around us, we are asking for your support!
Your contributions allow us to continue to grow and thrive in our community.
All gifts to KidsArts are tax-deductible.
