  1. Contributions for state and local races are governed by Hawaii law. Please read the following carefully. Consult an attorney or the Hawai‘i Campaign Spending Commission at http://hawaii.gov/campaign/ for further information, clarification, questions, or concerns.
  2. For the Mayor’s race, aggregate contributions cannot exceed $4,000 during an election period, from any individual or any other entity. An election period for a mayoral race is defined as a four year period between general election days.
  3. Corporations are required to register and file reports with the Hawaii Campaign Spending Commission for contributions from its own treasury that aggregate more than $1,000 per two-year election period made to a candidate or candidate committee.
  4. Candidate committees and political action committees registered with the Federal Election Commission may contribute up to $4,000. However, if aggregate contributions exceed $1,000, the committee must register as a non-candidate committee with the Hawaii Campaign Spending Commission.
  5. Contributions from individuals must be made from their own funds and not funds from another.
  6. Anonymous contributions are prohibited under the campaign spending law.
  7. Contributions from foreign nationals are prohibited.
  8. Contributions from state and local contractors are not permissible during the terms of a contract with the state.
  9. Contributions to our campaign are not tax-deductible.

NOTE: Campaign finance law requires the Candidate's Committee to collect your occupation and employer name, please help us to comply with this requirement. If we do not receive the required information, we are required by law to return the contribution. If you are self-employed, please type the business name. If you are not employed or retired, please state that information.

  1. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  2. I am at least eighteen years old.
  3. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
  4. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
  5. I am not currently entered into any contract with the State of Hawaii, any of its counties, or any of their departments or agencies.
