This is it, Keep the Change III: Return of the Change. If you remember anything about The Change Strikes Back, it's probably that it was amazing and we had free bourbon. Well, guess what, we're doing it again!
Kings County Distillery is providing us with our trademarked first hour OPEN BAR - this time with bourbon AND moonshine.
We'll also be serving our scrumptious foods again, but this time even MORE because when the rave reviews just didn't stop coming we were listening.
And once again, we're also going to be honoring a few special people who have succeeded in bringing change to our nation. This year it's the Living Wage Coalition and the lawyers who won the injunction against the PA Voter ID law.
But more than that, we'll be sending off those of us the Young Democrats are sponsoring to work in the Battleground States for the last two weeks of the election. If you're wondering what we spent the money from the last two Keep the Changes on, it's things like that!
Join us this year as we send them off in a huge hurrah, honor people who have brought change and kick off GOTV 2012!

Keep the Change III was a smashing success! Thank you to everyone who gave or came out to help support the work the Downstate Chapters of the NY State Young Democrats are doing. You know you hit the nail on the head when one of the honorees comes up to you and says "hey, can I donate money to support what you're doing?"
In the 24 hours after Keep the Change, five more fellows have applied. We're sending them all; but, at this moment, we can't afford to. Keep the Change may be over but we still have an election to win, every fellow on the ground is another full time worker for Obama. If you haven't given yet, please consider doing so.
As was said at the Keep the Change, though: "It doesn't end with the Fellows, it begins with them." The Fellows are the first of us to go out but GOTV is for everyone. If you're interested in getting involved please contact ben@nysyd.net.
