Join the Movement! Contribute to the Work!

Today, I am writing to you not just as President of this organization, but as someone who carries a deep responsibility to continue the work of those who came before us and to protect the future of those coming next.

The NAACP Louisiana State Conference has never waited for permission to fight for what is right. We have challenged injustice in courtrooms, marched through the streets, and stood firm in the face of systems built to hold us back. That legacy continues. And so does the work.

But movements are not sustained by history alone. They are made possible by people who choose to stand up, speak out, and contribute to something greater.

That is why I am reaching out to you today.

Your support powers real change. It protects the vote, defends civil rights, trains new leaders, and strengthens communities that continue to face attacks.

Every contribution moves us closer to the justice we have long fought for and still deserve. We are in a moment that calls for clarity, courage, and collective action.

If you believe in this mission, if you believe in community, in justice, and in our future. I invite you to take action with us. Make a contribution today and help protect what cannot be replaced. Our Voice. Our progress. Our power.

President Michael McClanahan, JD

NAACP Louisiana State Conference
