It's Congressional Black Caucus Weekend and we are supporting our friend, colleague and champion, La'Tasha D. Mayes for in her re-election for Pennsylvania State Representative!
La'Tasha is a 20-year champion for Reproductive Justice, a long-time community organizer, and national social justice leader.
Please join our Host Committee for a political fundraiser in support of the La'Tasha D. Mayes for State Representative campaign on Thursday, September 21, 7:00-9:00P at Busboys & Poets - 450 K Street location just a few minutes away from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
In just her first nine months in office, La'Tasha passed the CROWN Act to end hair discrimination in Pennsylvania, she was appointed to the powerful Appropriations, Judiciary and Health Committees and co-organized the first Black Maternal Health Week Day at the Capital to continue her long legacy of work fighting for Reproductive Justice. La'Tasha's advocacy for decades resulted in the end of funding to crisis pregnancy centers in Pennsylvania effective December 31, 2023 and she has brought back over $5 million in public investments in the 24th Legislative District in the City of Pittsburgh.
