For the Love Of Democracy - A Comedy Fundraiser with Jimmy Tingle

Join the Leicester Democratic Town Committee for an unforgettable night of laughs with a purpose. On Thursday, October 1st, comedian and political satirist Jimmy Tingle takes the stage at the Leicester Social Club for a one-man comedy show benefiting three local Democratic campaigns: David LeBoeuf (State Representative, 17th Worcester District), Nick Lazzaro (State Representative candidate, 7th Worcester District), and Shannon Teabo (State Senate candidate, Worcester and Hampshire District).

Jimmy Tingle brings decades of comedic and political insight to the stage, from his two seasons on CBS's 60 Minutes II to his own HBO comedy special, appearances on The Tonight Show and CNN, and film credits including Next Stop Wonderland and Boondock Saints. Expect sharp wit, real heart, and a night that's as thoughtful as it is funny.

Proceeds support David, Nick, and Shannon's campaigns, as well as the ongoing work of the Leicester Democratic Town Committee as we work to turn our town blue.

 

Contribution rules

  1. I am at least eighteen years old.
  2. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
  3. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  4. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
Net proceeds from this event will be distributed equally among the campaigns of Representative David LeBoeuf, Senate candidate Shannon Teabo, and State Representative candidate Nick Lazzarro. In accordance with applicable campaign finance regulations, each campaign will receive an equal share of the net proceeds, up to a maximum contribution of $1,000 per candidate. "Net proceeds" are defined as the funds remaining after all legitimate event expenses have been paid. Any net proceeds remaining after the maximum $1,000 contribution has been distributed to each of the three participating campaigns will be retained by the Leicester Democratic Town Committee and used to support the committee's ongoing activities and future Democratic initiatives. All contributions and distributions will be made in accordance with Massachusetts campaign finance laws and the guidance provided by the Office of Campaign and Political Finance (OCPF).
