Contribution rules
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- I certify that this contribution is being made from my own personal funds, is not being reimbursed in any manner, and is not being made as a loan to the committee.
- The address I have provided is my residential address and not a P.O. Box.
This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution. Contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes. The maximum contribution to a State Senate candidate committee is $5,000 per election. Contributions may come from individual U.S. citizens or green card holders, New York registered political action committees, LLCs/PLLCs, and unincorporated unions or associations. For corporations, each affiliated or subsidiary corporation, if a separate legal entity, has its own limit. Corporations and LLCs may contribute no more than $5,000 in the aggregate to all New York candidates and committees during a calendar year. LLC contributors must identify the LLC’s members and percentage of ownership interests. Partnerships that make an aggregate contribution exceeding $2,500 will be required to identify each partner who is responsible for the contribution and the amount to be allocated to the partner(s). Attributions will count towards the owner/partner individual contribution limit.
