Poll says Newsom 'in jeopardy' of being recalled

California will hold a recall election on September 14th that could remove Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom from office. A recent poll from the Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies shows that 47% of the most likely voters want to replace the Democratic Governor.   


Republican talk radio host Larry Elder has surged to the lead in GOP fundraising efforts for his campaign to replace Newsom, raising $4.5 million for his campaign in just 19 days. Elder announced he will repeal mask and vaccine mandates if he wins the election. He also believes the minimum wage should be $0 and that Roe v. Wade should be overturned.
