Leila Staton for Iowa, House Party in El Sobrante on Tuesday, April 21, 5:30-7:00 pm (address sent out 48 hours before)

Leila Staton will be visiting the Bay Area in April. There will be a house party in El Sobrante, April 21 at 5:30 pm for those who want to meet and support this 22 year-old Iowan who is running for Iowa State House District 54.

Come gnosh on snacks with refreshments and meet like minded progressives who want to make a difference in our Country in supporting the next generation.

Meet Leila and hear directly why it was important for her to run. Her win would break the State House Republican supermajority. No Democrat has run in this District since 2020. Leila couldn't stand that so when she turned 21 last year, she decided to put her values into action by announcing her candidacy.

Leila has been endorsed by Run For Something. Local press have rated this race as competitive. While her opponent who accepts mostly PAC money in 2025, Leila has raised all her campaign funds from people.

Leila has knocked on hundreds doors in District 54 and heard loud and clear the priorities of the District are: (1) strong public schools, (2) protecting family farms, (3) expanding health care accessibility and affordability (including OBGYN), and (4) improved water quality
