
Lianna Nguyen, born in Louisville, KY, a lifelong Kentuckian, has lived in Florence, KY, since 2012. She is a businesswoman, entrepreneur, caregiver, beauty trade school owner, nail educator, vice chair of the Kentucky State Board of Cosmetology, and a licensed real estate agent in Kentucky and Ohio. She currently runs her trade school on Mall Road in Florence, KY. Her passion is to help future generations of nail technicians flourish in a specialized nail care school while obtaining the proper licensure in the state of Kentucky.
In 2023, Lianna Nguyen 2023 stood up for change in the beauty industry. She and a group of advocates spent countless hours fighting for change. After many days of debate in 2024, Kentucky Senate Bill 14 was signed into law by Governor Andy Beshear. This bill received 100% bipartisan support, and the new law continues to help many people across Kentucky. In the same year, Lianna Nguyen was appointed by Governor Andy Beshear as the new board member representing private beauty schools. Lianna Nguyen's commitment as a board member includes making decisions and taking votes to protect beauty consumers, analyzing complaints in the beauty industry, listening to and helping licensees, voting on regulatory improvements, and working with board members and the director to improve the beauty industry in Kentucky.
