I am honored to announce my candidacy for re-election to the North Kingstown School Committee, a role that allows me to serve and represent our vibrant community.

When I set out to run in 2020, I didn’t imagine seeking a second term but over the past four years I’ve come to realize how much work needs to be done, and how important it is to have dedicated, student focused leaders on our school committee.  

As we approach the 2024 school board elections, it is crucial to elect candidates who champion healthy learning environments for all students and who adamantly oppose transphobia, racism, and any other form of bigotry. I have a proven track record of advocating for these principles, and I am committed to ensuring that every student feels safe, valued, and included in our schools. 

We must actively invest in our public education system, as it benefits our entire community. This investment includes our physical infrastructure as well as our dedicated staff and promising students. Throughout my tenure, I have actively prioritized fiscal responsibility while ensuring we allocate resources where they are most needed. Additionally, I have steadfastly advocated for expanding mental health support and resources within our schools. Another accomplishment is increasing community listening through various modalities, including listening sessions, newsletters, and surveys. 

North Kingstown boasts exceptional schools with outstanding individuals who accomplish remarkable feats daily. It has been an honor to witness this firsthand over the past four years, and I am deeply grateful for your support. With our administration now fully staffed with permanent leadership, I am confident that, given the opportunity to serve another term, we can propel our district even further.
