I realized I wanted to be a politician 24 years ago. At that time, the services my son with autism needed weren’t available to us here in Albuquerque, and the only way to change that was to be the change I wanted to see. I made a promise to myself, “I’m going to be the voice for people who feel like they don’t have a voice in our Capital.”
