Organizing Across the Landscape

A combination of rural farmers and urban laborers built the Progressive Movement of the early 20th century. Recently, Democrats have withdrawn from organizing in rural areas and small towns. It shows: Democrats lost 11 points in rural areas between 2008 and 2016. According to Sister District, ‘Democrats have increasingly abandoned rural areas, … That is not a morally or strategically defensible position.’

Join Lean Left in investing in local groups in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin that will bring these voters back into the Democratic fold. Research shows that rural/small town voters support progressive policies but we need to meet them where they live!
