Defend the VA House Majority with The States Project

State governments are our best defense

AND our best offense

At Lean Left Vermont, we are raising early funds for The States Project to make sure the VA House of Delegates maintains its majority. These elections will be the first big test of the new regime and a bellwether for 2026.

State legislatures play a critical role in people's lives. Democrats currently hold the VA State Senate, and while much attention will go to the governor’s race this year, Democrats must defend the House majority in the event a GOP candidate wins the governor's seat. Democratic control of all three branches will give them the power to defend against destructive federal policies and to enact policies that benefit families and communities.

The States Project is the leading national group funding strategic campaign work to win state legislative victories and break Republican control of legislatures. They provide a high return on Democratic investment, by working with Democratic caucuses and helping them turn out voters who care about local issues.

The States Project will continue raising funds to build on our early investment. Your contribution will support support candidates who are running in the closest districts in the state.

Contributions to The States Project are not tax-deductible.
