The Fight After the Vote

The threats facing U.S. elections are real and ongoing. Across the country, state-level entities have gerrymandered districts, enacted onerous voting laws, closed polling locations, and challenged and removed legitimate voters from the voter rolls. Meanwhile, the federal government continues to create chaos around mail-in ballots and the SAVE Act. Challenging the results of an election, and refusing to certify, could be just around the corner.

The Elections Safeguard Response Network (ESRN), co-founded by the Democracy Defenders Fund (DDF), will be leading the way with its network of national, state and local partners working together to identify, plan for, and respond to election sabotage. Here’s how the ESRN works:

  1. DDF and national partners bring resources, coordination capacity, and strategic expertise.
  2. State-based coalitions bring in-state programming, relationships, and an understanding of what is happening within communities.

By donating to the Democracy Defenders Fund, you join the effort to defend the foundation of our democracy — free and fair elections.
