I served this country flying KC-135s and RC26-Bs. I took an oath to the Constitution as a service member and a Congressman. I put my life on the line to defend our democracy and protect our fundamental rights.
So when Republicans cheered the January 6th Insurrection, tried to sabotage our elections, and gave Donald Trump powers more akin to a dictator than a President… putting my job on the line to protect our democracy was a no-brainer.
Meanwhile, cowards like Derrick Van Orden and Tom Tiffany were all too happy bending the knee to the MAGA billionaire elite. They think elections can be bought, and they view Wisconsin as their personal power-grab. Their only loyalty is to Trump and the MAGA machine.
